Served in Motor Transport Corps until September 26, 1917; Ambulance Company No.19 until December 10, 1917; Ambulance Company No. 38 until June 3, 1918; Field Hospital No. 38 until August 25, 1918; Field Hospital No. 37 until September 26, 1918; Ambulance Company No. 38 until November I, 1918; and Medical Department, 54th Infantry, 6th Division, until his death. Went overseas on July 7, 1918. Died of disease December 25, 1918. Person notified of the death, John F. Ames, father, Macon, Mississippi. All efforts to locate
